Lots of great food options within a few blocks - Chicks (sports bar), Rosarios (Mexican & Pizza), and American Sardine Bar (gastropub) all within a 5 minute walk. Passyunk Ave is only a 15-minute walk for even more restaurant and bar options! The best in South Philly About 3-4 gyms and grocery stores (Target, Sprouts, ACME) are within a 10-15 minute walk w/ Aldi opening nearby soon. Bike share also very close by, and the Tasker/Morris subway station is an easy 4ish-block walk. The 2 bus is 1.5 blocks away and takes you straight up to center city within minutes. Three to four gyms also NEIGHBORHOOD & BLOCK: House is located on a usually quiet and definitely queer-friendly block, off main streets so there's less traffic. Semi-regular block parties/impromptu meetups where everyone catches up and enjoys a bev. Neighbors will often notify other neighbors of packages delivered, pick them up on the behalf of others, and are supportive of everyone on the block. There is even a Facebook group for the block for everyone to stay in touch and borrow a bottle of wine if needed (that's the actual group description). Residents of the block recently got together to "renovate" the empty lots directly adjacent to the house and turned them into a beautiful community garden with mulch, plants, flowers, chairs to relax, and a small "take a book/leave a book" library. It is truly the best block in Point Breeze. The street has no permit parking and it's usually easy to get a spot on the block (depending on the time of day) or within 1-2 blocks. ROOMIES Both roomies are queer-friendly; 420 friendly; low-key, hard working professionals who are respectful and fun! This is a lease take over which would end August 1st. I have thoroughly loved living with them both and am sad to go but am committed to finding someone that will fit into the flow of this beautiful and modern row home!
