Supervisory Administrative Specialist

The incumbent supervises day-to-day administrative requirements of two Program Support Assistants four timekeepers, and the organization's ADPAC that provide administrative and logistics support to the Associate Chief Nurses and Nurse Managers for the medical center and community living center. The incumbent serves as an integral member of the Nursing/PCS Team and provides administrative, logistics, and program support. The incumbent supports the overall mission of nursing to provide quality, customer-focused support in a timely manner. The activities performed by the incumbent directly impact the quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency of clinical, logistics, and administrative operations for the department. The incumbent is also responsible for the day-to-day management and communication of programs that support Nursing/PCS staffing and budget. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
1) Monitors the flow of funds through the fund control points and reviews requests for allotments of funds to assure that they confirm to budget regulations.2) Provides technical expertise and advice on logistics and contract requirements to the Nurse Executive in order to meet the standards of the overall mission of the service.3) Provides presentations and make corrections based on findings.4) Independently develops short and long range plans for the management of the Nursing/PCS logistics program. OR, Education:

Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary in nature, but requires the incumbent to push, pull, and up to 35 lbs. as well as bend and stoop in order to conduct EIL inventories. The position requires a substantial amount of interaction with a personal computer. The Incumbent walks to and from meeting, performs space, supplies, and equipment inventories, and frequently carries papers and books weighing less than ten pounds. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
