Our Firm-wide IP Services department has an opportunity for the newly created position of an IP Administrator in our Philadelphia office. Reporting to the Director of IP Services, this position will manage IP related training and administration for the IP Services team at Firm.
Specific duties include:
Documentation of IP Services policies and procedures; work with IP Services Managers and Coordinators/Supervisors to document and maintain policies and procedures.
Coordinates large intakes and lateral partner onboarding; coordinates transfer with Intake Services, Docketing, IT and IP Prosecution Support.
Responsible for training new and existing IP personnel regarding policies and procedures developed by the IP Services group, USPTO, NonUS patent and trademark offices, etc.
Provides IP orientation to new IP staff and attorneys; including developing and maintaining IP orientation materials.
Regularly travel to offices with IP presence to provide training, interact with IP Services personnel and gather/provide feedback regarding IP Services operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of IP prosecution experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training experience preferred.
Deep understanding of Intellectual property rules and regulations in jurisdictions worldwide, patent and trademark.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, document management systems, such as iManage.
Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with demanding individuals.
Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Effective and strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary in order to maintain effective relationships with attorneys and staff, as well as external contacts, in person, by e-mail and telephone. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
