Our Firm-wide Office has an excellent opening for the newly created position of IP Prosecution Manager in our Philadelphia office. Reporting to the Firm-wide Director of IP Services, this position will manage the IP Prosecution Teams in support of the IP prosecution practice at Firm.
Specific duties include:
Day-to-day management of the IP Prosecution support team, ensuring the team is adequately meeting goals and objectives.
Documentation of IP Prosecution policies and procedures; work with the IP Administrator and Supervisors to document policies and procedures.
Development of IP Prosecution support staff; including participating in performance reviews, coaching, career counselling, training and hiring.
Responsible for IP prosecution support staff billable hours; define billable activities and create narrative descriptions for consistent use across IP Prosecution team, regularly monitor and ensure goals are being met.
Liaison with Office Administrators to assist in management of relationship between IP Prosecution and secretarial staff.
Lead weekly team meetings with IP Prosecution Coordinators/Supervisors.
Provide timely and regular updates to Director of IP Services regarding staffing issues, billable hours, IP Prosecution operations and other team issues.
Regularly travel to offices with IP Prosecution presence to gather and provide feedback regarding IP operations.
Stay up-to-date with changes to Intellectual Property rules and regulations.
Maintain excellent client service to internal and external clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of IP prosecution experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Deep understanding of Intellectual Property rules and regulations in jurisdictions worldwide, patent and trademark.
Experience with IP docketing systems.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, document management systems, such as iManage and Elite billing system experience preferred.
Proven ability to manage major projects, coordinating the use of department resources and involving all levels of management as appropriate.
Adept at inspiring, influencing and motivating individuals to achieve results.
Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with demanding individuals.
Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Effective and strong oral and written communication skills.
Management experience, ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary in order to maintain effective relationships with attorneys and staff, as well as external contacts, in person, by e-mail and telephone.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
