Legal Records Clerk (part-time)
Wilson Elser's Philadelphia office currently seeks a part-time Legal Records Clerk.
This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to gain experience in an office of a national law firm, especially for local college students interested in the legal field.
This part-time position ( 20 hours a week) offers flexible scheduling during the work week.
Qualifications
o Prior experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional office setting
o Working knowledge of legal documents is a plus
o Must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, able to prioritize and manage a high volume of filing
o Must have good computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
o Must be able to follow detailed instructions, comfortable asking questions when needed, flexible, and a quick learner
o Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
o Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
o Must be able to lift legal size boxes of 10 - 20 pounds
o Ability to type 45 wpm or more
Responsibilities
o Filing of all incoming documents and documents created by firm into inter-file folders
o Organization of files in file cabinets
o Indexing of Pleading and Discovery file folders
o Work closely with secretaries/attorneys to organize and maintain client files
