The Philadelphia office of this national law firm needs a 4-6 year employment associate attorney with stellar academic and employment credentials, including work with a comparable firm or recognized labor and employment boutique. Prior experience should have focused on transactional aspects of employment law, including wage/hour audits, as well as EEOC matters, advice/counseling/risk management and both state and federal employment matters. Candidates should have researched and drafted a variety of types of relevant documents, including, but not limited to, employment and severance agreements, workplace policies/procedures, leaves of absence materials, and employee communications materials, and be comfortable analyzing a range of complex issues. PA bar admission required. PA and NJ would be a plus. Writing sample and transcripts required with application, as superior writing skills are crucial to success in this position. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
