Our client is seeking a NOC Analyst for their Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) location.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in day to day efforts to monitor and manage the company''s Information Technology infrastructure including batch processing
Troubleshoot alerts/alarms generated by network, server, and systems monitoring tools
Evaluate, recommend, and implement best in class monitoring and management tools
Design efficient and reliable processes for installing new/redeployed servers, provisioning services, storage, and peripherals
Identify and implement reliable system standards and processes around risk and early detection and effective monitoring practices
Work closely with development, network, and support teams in implementation infrastructure components supporting emerging technologies and applications
Respond to issue escalation and service interruption as a confident technical leader
Provide actionable after-incident analysis to ensure root cause issues are logged and remediated
Comprehensive understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), Server and Blade technologies, SAN and NAS, Email, SQL Databases, Document Management, Citrix, VMware, Clustering, Backups, Telecommunications, Video Teleconferencing, and Altiris.
Manage multiple priorities effectively
Maintain clear and efficient communications with management and customers
Provide guidance and mentoring to peers
5 - 7 years of experience in network/systems operations in a 24/7 mission critical IT infrastructure
3 years experience with enterprise event management tools
3 - 5 years experience in systems/DB/network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred
ITIL v3 Certification in Service Delivery desirable
Demonstrated success in establishing technology operations processes, tools and performance metric tracking mechanisms for mission critical IT systems
Demonstrated capability to team with all functional areas (infrastructure, development, network, systems) of an IT solutions department
Significant experience with Intel based systems with an emphasis on Windows, SQL, and Messaging
Experience working with SAN/NAS, Backup/Recovery, and DR/BC operations
Experience with virtualization technologies in a production environment
Functional knowledge of core networking concepts
Regimented change and release management methodology
Security and Patch updates to follow the firm''s change management procedures and a patch release schedule
Experience with current best practices in IT standards, principles, and security practices
Knowledge around MS SQL 2005/8, Double-Take and Virtualization technologies a plus
Excellent technical documentation skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
Clear and efficient communications both with technical peers and management
Working knowledge of financial industry preferred
Will be required to work the hours of 4pm until 12am weekdays Monday through Friday

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
