Job Description:
This position works under general guidance of EHS Manager to ensure all operations are in compliance with hazardous material regulations and domestic logistics operations. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other functional teams to provide direction to ensure compliance with laws and regulations affecting all areas of the logistics network. The position will provide expertise on fleet regulatory requirements, custom requirements, product labeling, and MSDS to ensure compliance. Incumbent must be able to understand complex regulatory environment and translate into needs and plans for the organization.

Responsibilities:
Fleet Management and Compliance:
Ensure the Peroxygens fleet and equipment has proper registrations, approvals, licensing, special permits, and insurance.
Ensure safe and secure operation of the Peroxygens fleet equipment through monitoring of various indicators, such as, driver logs, vehicle inspection reports, transportation incidents, CSA ratings, etc.
Ensure that Fleet drivers meet the Driver Tech Program Requirements and assist with maintaining and updating compliance polices and manuals.
Takes actions to close gaps and drive compliance
Security and Customs Regulations:
Accountable for compiling complex import/export information for reporting requirements and prepare reports, in coordination with the various sites.
Manage import/export shipment issue resolution.
Conduct annual internal audits and assist with maintaining, updating and training on compliance policies and manuals. Analyze trends and prescribe corrective action, as necessary.
Manage new import/export product process to ensure compliance.
Ensure product classification codes are accurate and up-to-date.
Monitor and track foreign suppliers / shipping locations for C-TPAT.
Product Safety, Regulations, and Registrations:
Ensure product packaging, labeling and safety data sheets comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate customer requests, in conjunction with the Peroxygens regulatory Manager, for regulatory and Responsible Care information regarding our Peroxygens products (surveys, certification letters / statements, etc.)
Logistics Safety and Responsible Care:
Monitor and track action items from audits and incident investigations.
Gather information for government and regulatory reporting.
Analyze trends and prescribe corrective action, as necessary.
Manage reporting of transportation incidents as appropriate to the organization and regulatory agencies, as needed.
Coordinate CHEMTREC emergency contact system.
EHS Governance and Compliance:
Monitor and track EHS action items from audits, incident investigations, etc.
Gather and prepare EHS reporting information from commercial and manufacturing sites and the corporate office, under the general guidance of the EHS Manager.
Analyze trends and prescribe corrective action, as necessary.
Required Education:
Bachelor degree or significant hazmat or regulatory work experience in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
5
years of experience, with 3
years of hazardous materials transportation experience, including the classification of products for domestic transportation, along with 3
years domestic freight experience
Current hazardous materials certification for DOT, IATA, IMDG preferred.
Strong
computer
skills required, SAP preferred.
Strong analytical, communication and organization skills- able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
Considerable knowledge of Compliance regulations both federal (Customs, EPA, etc.) and state
Self-starter who takes initiative and gets things done and delivers personal results
Understanding of customs and other regulatory agencies
Strong ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflict while working across functional teams

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
