Medical Science Liaison (Pain/Neurology) - Northeast Region

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a crucial role in Medical Affairs at Bausch Health, being part of an exclusive field-based team of medical scientific experts that partner with national, regional, and local key medical experts (KMEs).
Thus, the MSL has significant responsibility and is expected to provide in-depth scientific, clinical and educational support to KMEs, as well as to internal clinical, sales, and marketing teams.
In addition, the MSL provides scientific insights back to Medical Affairs management.
This specific MSL position should be based in an area that complements the existing team.
Possible sites are to be determined.
The MSL should have an in-depth understanding of areas related to pain, supportive care, and neurology.
Responsibilities Build and maintain solid and credible relationships with the medical community on Bausch Health s behalf in both academic, clinical, and community settingsProvide support to KMEs regarding assigned productsFollow all applicable policies and procedures related to MSLsProvide KME insights and observations to the medical affairs organization on a timely basisHelp to ensure that KME speakers have access to Bausch Health dataParticipate in coordinating and conducting peer-to-peer interactions and medical presentationsBe well-versed in the current therapeutic areas in which Bausch Health specializesWhere appropriate, provide overall medical/scientific support through the dissemination of on-label educational, scientific, and clinical information on diseases and its treatmentDevelop relationships with local thought leaders (physicians, advanced practice practitioners, pharmacists, and nurses) whose opinions and treatment regimens influence the practice of their colleaguesIdentify unsolicited requests for investigator-initiated researchIn response to appropriate requests, disseminate to physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals state-of-the-art on-label research and medical concepts related to the treatment and management of diseases of interest to the companyRelay Medical Information requests through appropriate channelsWhen appropriate, represent Bausch Health at continuing educational events / programs, medical meetings and conventionsQualifications Bachelors degree required.
Advanced degree, PhD, PharmD, or MD in health care field from an accredited college or university is highly preferredMinimum 1-3
years MSL experience preferredEstablished relationships with pain and neurology KMEs desiredTakes seriously relevant policies and proceduresHighly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude, possessing the initiative required to achieve desired goals both independently and within a team structure.
Demonstrated expertise in drug information communicationDemonstrated project management abilityExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of FDA requirements related to MSLsStrong relationship-building skills, particularly with the research communityStrong administrative management skillsTeam-oriented with the ability work effectively with othersValid driver s license in good standingTitle is commensurate with experience, candidates with less experience will also be consideredConfidential Data:

Home office, 60-70% travel required, significant air travel is requiredAs required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US.
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is $120k - $180k.
