Logistics/Transport Coordinator (NW Philadelphia PA)

I have a client who is in need of a Logistics/Transport Coordinator with the following abilities/skills:
Responsible for the transportation of all goods in and out of the Pennsylvania facility.
- The role requires you to be a 360 Degree communicator with the ability to manage multiple requests via different communication channels and provide timely responses.
- Requires experience in US domestic and international freight procedures, terminology, documentation and transportation channels; to coordinate, track and update relevant stakeholders on the smooth passage of goods between the origin and destination.
Tasks & Responsibilities - Coordinate the transport of all goods in and out of the Pennsylvania facility.
- Complete required transport-related documentation and liaise with other departments as necessary.
- Point contact for all transportation questions.
- Proactively request, track, and chase missing information required for the transportation of goods.
- Proactively monitor open orders to ensure they are never delayed due to transportation issues, resulting from missing information, poor planning or lack of communication.
- Point contact for freight carriers and brokers.
- Request freight quotes as necessary to support global sales team.
A measurement of your performance will directly correlate to feedback from your customers regarding the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of communication.
