General Manager

AKA Hotels & Hotel Residences is recruiting an accomplished professional to serve as the General Manager, AKA Rittenhouse Square.
As the General Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of property operations and sales.
This leadership position requires a hands-on strategic thinker with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest services, achieving financial objectives, and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities:
Foster effective communication and maintain professional relationships between all departments, the AKA brand, other Korman Communities brands, and the corporate office leadership team.
Oversees all operations and sales, including communicating role expectations, monitoring contributions, enforcing policies, and disciplining Team Members.
Achieves guest services operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans, completing action plans, implementing productivity and quality standards, resolving problems, and identifying trends.
Meets financial objectives through yield management, annual budget preparation, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Maintains guest confidence by ensuring high service levels, garnering repeat visits, and promptly addressing guest concerns.
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Updates role knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Leads the team in sales and marketing, customer service, guest follow-up, and overall asset presentation.
Ensures guest satisfaction, oversees vendor and contractor relations, and directly handles sales performance and client relationships.
Participates in, leads, and oversees direct sales efforts, responsible for financial results and retention/renewal programs for traditional rentals.
Evaluates team members performance, maintains good team member relations and morale, and prepares and implements marketing and outreach programs.
Participates in networking events, prepares weekly leasing and traffic reports, and leads all Directors/Managers through coaching and mentoring.
Enhances property reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
Partners with the community to establish beneficial partnerships and oversees coordination with F&B management for effective F&B operations.
Ensures property cleanliness meets or exceeds Brand, Federal, State, and local safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Facilitates weekly directors meetings, communicates necessary information to property Directors, and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and County laws.
Handles Team Member and Guest incidents in a respectful and timely manner and fulfills landlord responsibilities and oversight for ground floor retail lease contracts.
Reviews inappropriate behavior findings with the Director of Human Resources and resolves situations fairly.
Ensures property meets the standards of the fire chief and state fire inspector and aligns with brand objectives.
Works with Directors to develop financial strategies, estimates costs, and maintains communication with guests throughout their stay.
Assists the Sales Department with Site Inspections, checks previous days arrivals, departures, in-house transfers, and billing issues in PMS.
Builds relationships with new and existing clients, promotes the LiveIT program, and engages guests to develop additional business and leads for Sales.
Demonstrates a strong overall knowledge of the local area and surrounding attractions/events.
Provides thorough communication with all departments, resolves guest disputes professionally and courteously, and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Operational leadership in a General Manager role Minimum of three to five years of Guest Service and three to five years of Sales experience.
A background in luxury or lifestyle boutique and/or branded hotels Demonstrated ability to develop and implement growth strategies and achieve financial goals through outstanding business acumen (i.
e.
P&L, forecasting etc.
) Proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
High level of self-motivation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to motivate and engage team members towards achieving organizational objectives while simultaneously holding team members accountable.
Flexibility in leadership style, able to adapt to different situations and needs.
Humble and approachable attitude, yet able to command respect and presence.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
