Remote Opportunity OH/IN/MI/PA/KY/WV Highly profitable insurance carrier has retained The Carlisle Group seeking to hire a talented Lead Database Analyst.
This role, open due to a retirement, will be critical element in the organization's continued growth plans.
This is a staff position within IT whose role is to analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain databases throughout the production life cycle in support of the achievement of business requirements.
This includes requirements assistance, coding, code review and documentation.
This individual is a subject matter expert for databases and will also provide mentoring, support, guidance and training to the applications developers.
This individual must have the ability to work with company managers to understand the organization's needs so that the databases function effectively and efficiently.
Ability to create, maintain and support SSIS packages across databases Data warehouse ETL process Create and maintain indexes Assist developers with query efficiency and best practices On call for Production SSIS packages Develop and manage data systems and databases Maintain DB security - user roles, Linked servers, etc.
Assist in DB backups and restores Ensure data integrity Collaborate with developers and networking engineers to establish and maintain data governance Work with Networking for validating updates and patches Maintain knowledge of Azure/AWS Cloud database best practices Maintain knowledge of Snowflake best practices Working knowledge of SSRS Ability to communicate in layman's terms to establish KPI's Work with business to analyze and use the data Develop and maintain data dictionaries Collaborate with developers in database design for software updates and implementations Maintain quality and security standards to limit production issues Work with production problems to find root cause and recommend solution Organize, plan and prioritize own work Establish required checks and balances for operational controls Maintain up-to-date knowledge of computer operating procedures and operating standards Work well under pressure and can work independently or as part of a team Provide feedback to manager or supervisor on developer progress Assist in creating and maintaining coding standards Recommended Skills Business Requirements Coaching And Mentoring Data System Data Warehousing Database Design Databases Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
