Accountant - Financial Support

DescriptionLooking for a highly motivated candidate to assist in managing the financial health of the company.
This position requires an experienced accountant with excellent oral and written communication skills and strong computer software experience.
The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter able to succeed in a nontraditional setting.
ResponsibilitiesoPerform general bookkeeping and accounting duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
oPerform reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
oRecording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
oAssist in providing cash management and financial planning guidance to company executives.
oCommunicate with independent advisors as needed.
oAssist with special projects.
QualificationsoBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred.
oMinimum of three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate, hospitality industry, or family office.
oAbility to work with and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
oProficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office required.
oExtensive experience with data entry and record keeping.
oFlexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
oAbility to work independently and monitor deadlines.
oAbility to communicate and collaborate with other departments.
oProactive, organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
