Trade Compliance Analyst

The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing customs compliance guidance and services to customers and company employees.
Job Duties:
Provides customers and employees with custom compliance guidance and advice Conducts research on tariff classification, valuation, free trade agreements, customs entry of freight, and agency regulations Assists with special projects such as classifying and audits Prepares requests in writing binding rulings from customs on behalf of customers Attends client meetings Presents findings to clients Delegates tasks and monitors work Other duties as required and assigned Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university o Minimum 4 to 7 years relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and training o Customs Broker's License o Certified Customs Specialist designation o Knowledge of brokerage operations o Knowledge of customs regulations and other government agency requirements o Knowledge of SAP o PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Excel, and Outlook o Ability to complete assignments independently o Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form o Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships with regional and National logistics clients o Dynamic leadership skills Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
