Job Description:
Facility Manager is responsible for preserving the good condition of buildings and structures in the real estate portfolio ensuring they are safe, well maintained and meet the needs of staff and clients.
Responsibilities:
The Facility Manager oversees the company's facility maintenance & operation plans, manages maintenance staff, manages office moves all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Performs and documents inspections of buildings & structures to determine the need for repairs and renovations and ensures sites are safe, secure and presentable for both clients and staff Manages Facilities Management & Security Operations including Capital Improvements, Minor Renovations and Property Repairs for PHMC properties Ensures fire & life safety systems are maintained and inspected per code requirements & ensures all building equipment and supplies meet health and safety standards Contracts maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
Ensures all work is coordinated with on-site managers, property owners, landlords, contractors, vendors & consultants Oversees and supervises the quality of work conducting periodic inspections to assure work quality is satisfactory, proceeding on schedule and all tasks are performed in accordance with contract terms & design Coordinate with Procurement the bidding and management of Facility Maintenance contracts (cleaning, pest control, landscaping, snow removal, etc) Ensures landlords perform maintenance and repairs to leased sites Oversees all corporate and program moves Oversee and supervise maintenance technicians Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures Startup & Decommissioning space Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary Oversees furniture acquisitions, reconfigurations and repairs Coordinate with Capital Projects on the startup of new building projects Prepares budgets, reviews contracts and approves invoices for payment Participates in planning activities related to the acquisition of new program sites Oversees Security Central Station and Security Operations functions Develops physical security plans for new and existing sites Oversees security installation projects Oversees Secure Access and ID functions Oversee Safety Warden program Prepares management reports, budgets and schedules Manage furniture acquisitions, installations, maintenance and repairs.
All other duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position Previous experience in health care industry a plus Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and leadership skills Good analytical/critical thinking BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field Relevant professional qualification (e.
g.
CFM) will be an advantage Recommended Skills Accounting Analytical Business Administration Communication Critical Thinking Facility Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
