One of our large chemical manufacturing clients is seeking an Ion Exchange Development Chemist to join their team in Philadelphia, PA.
The Ion Exchange Chemist will be responsible for performing application and synthesis research for the company's ion exchange products.
Main
Responsibilities:
Develops new methods and plant support issues Performs laboratory experiments involving wet chemistry, spectrophotometric, chromatographic and electromechanical analysis Maintains detailed experimental records including complex stoichiometric calculations; performs ion exchange research such as loading capacity determination, exhaustion curves and isotherm studies Performs quality analysis of lab produced and plant produced copolymer and resin samples Performs quality control analysis of plant manufactured ion exchange resins; prepares samples to be supplied to customers via the sales force Maintains a good understanding of cationic and anionic exchange resin operations, including regeneration procedures and the chemistry involved Assembles and maintains equipment for column and resin performance studies; conducts process development studies Provides plant/production support to assist manufacturing personnel resolving processing problems Assists in the development of in-house test methods Operates and assists in maintaining analytical tools, such as but not limited to, ICP, Ion Chromatograph, HACH spectrophotometer and TOC analyzer; performs routine instrument calibration and quality controlPerforms other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree (Chemistry, Biology, Biochem, Chemical Engineering or related field) 3 years laboratory or industry experience Solid understanding of ion exchange chemistry Experience performing laboratory experimentsExcellent communications skills Desired Skills-Ion Chromatography experience-Organic Synthesis background Recommended Skills Biochemistry Biology Calculations Chemical Engineering Chemistry Chromatography Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
