Position Summary/ObjectiveThe primary responsibility of the Quality Specialist is to partner with Retail, Production, PX and Supply Chain to ensure compliance and directly support the overall compliance and PX initiatives within the organization.
This includes both proactive and reactive efforts to maintain compliance and quality.
This position will administer the companywide nonconformance system and work with all areas of the business to quickly identify, contain, document and correct quality issues.
This position will also administer the companywide badging and background check process to ensure compliance.
The Quality Specialist will also be assigned projects to improve compliance and quality.

This position will report to the Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Quality.
Responsibilities:
Works cross functionally with internal teams including Retail, Production, PX and Supply Chain to investigate, contain, document and correct quality and compliance issues.
Administer the nonconformance system.
Administer the companywide background and badging program to ensure employees are onboarded quickly and compliantly.
Member of External Audit Team including helping to prepare for facility inspections, train associates, and speak to auditors during government regulatory investigations, and other external audits.
Serve as compliance back-up as needed for state reporting and submissions.
Provide suggestions to management on implementing policy and/or process changes to comply with new and/or modified regulations and improve internal processes for quality assurance.
Remains abreast of relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations, analyze their impact and make recommendations to operations and management.
Define processes and write SOPs.
Develops collaborative relationships with Regulatory Agency representatives and regulators.
Assist with management inquiries/requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Performs related duties as assigned while providing operational support to local management teams.
Collaborates with Compliance and PX team in other states and provides assistance as needed.
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and identifies actions to eliminate process variation.
Works collaboratively with all levels of the organization including entry level and management personnel.
May perform duties of other team members in the compliance or PX department as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in compliance, PX, legal, and/or regulatory affairs preferred Prior experience in the cannabis industry preferred Proficient in Metrc and LeafLogix preferred Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred Results oriented change agent Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects and challenges Able to work a flexible schedule that may require visiting Ethos locations within short notice and on weekends.
Excellent time-management skills; ability to effectively plan and prioritize, with strong attention to detail and work ethic Inquisitive, thorough, and diplomatic with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Solid communication, writing, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to execute and work well in a team setting but also a self-starter Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment Other Requirements:
Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible Must pass stringent state background test requirements Compensation:
This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
