Programmer/Software Developer (Remote)

Job Description Position SummaryCome join the growing team at the UConn Foundation!In this Programmer/Software Developer role, you will develop reports and dashboards related to the Foundation's CRM system.
You will help customize systems using the Blackbaud SDK, perform TSQL work on ETL processes supporting dashboard development, and create necessary stored procedures and other related database objects.
In addition, you will respond to end-user data requests using TSQL to pull together result sets that are difficult or impossible for users or analysts to pull using the embedded query tool in the CRM system.
You will work to continuously improve the data quality and integrity within the CRM database system and be expected to provide strong customer service to end-users.
This position is eligible for a 100% remote work location in CT, MA, RI, PA, IL, MD, NC, FL, , AZ, TX, CA In this role, you will:
Respond to complex requests for data to support outreach and program analysis and surveys.
You will work in adherence to Foundation policies and procedures relating to donor privacy, confidentiality and security, and the utilization of data as outlined in current business practices.
Conduct full range of technical duties in the development of new applications and functions, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Respond to ad-hoc data requests to generate various output formats as needed.
Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and basic dashboards using providing reporting toolsets.
Products must meet user-defined requirements and internal specifications; be optimized for performance; and adhere to departmental standards.
Create and maintain technical documentation relating to all position responsibilities; and additional documentation as assigned by the Director of Programming Services.
Serve in a customer service role satisfying end-user requests for data sets, reporting and analysis.
Complete service requests in a timely manner with a focus on quality and attention to policies and procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Have a strong understanding of the Blackbaud CRM application (advance experience with the query tool is highly desirable).
Have experience with code control tools such as TFVC, git (highly desirable).
Be self-motivated, detailed oriented, and demonstrate a strong desire to succeed.
Have the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, produce quality work, and meet strict deadlines.
Be able to work to the demands of the position, which may exceed a 40-hour work week.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

years' experience with relational databases.
Strong foundation in SQL programming required.
Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
Proven ability to develop robust, efficient, and well tested code.
Experience with university fundraising and alumni CRM systems is highly desirable, but not required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
