Financial & Business Investment Analyst - NA Refinish


Job Description:
The NA Refinish Financial & Business Investment Analyst responsibilities include supporting the NA Refinish Manager with internal management reporting (budgeting, planning, forecasting and other analysis) and leading the North America Refinish Business Deal Proposal Program's analysis & reporting.
The position will interface with all levels within Finance and Refinish Business Team, providing management with the necessary analysis, insight and support.
The position will report into the NA Refinish Financial Manager with significant exposure to Global Business Unit leadership and Corporate Finance leadership.
Financial Planning & Analysis Perform detailed financial planning, reporting and analysis of the North America Refinish cost centers.
Work cross functionally to analyze & forecast expenses.
Partner with accounting & operations finance team to perform in-depth analysis of fixed and variable costs.
Month end close activities.
Contribute to ad-hoc management requests.
Business Deal Proposal Analysis Lead in conjunction with NA Refinish Manager in designing, developing and implementing of process / system to improve contract performance tracking.
Prepare detailed presentation of business investment proposal including discounted cash flow analysis to be presented to Global Business Unit management and/or Corporate leadership.
Liaise with NA Refinish business teams to & collect necessary information.
Support accounting team to ensure that process is documented & completed as required.
Manage and execute the impairment testing process.
Support the legal, accounting & business teams in the contract breach process.
Lead reviews with the business leadership on contract performance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in financial planning and analysis (strongly preferred), corporate Finance, consulting or accounting.
Degree(s):
Bachelor's degree from a leading institution in Business Administration, Accounting or Economics.
Master's degree in Business Administration, CPA, CMA or related field, a plus Experience working for a leading global manufacturing business, in a public company or private equity backed company environment.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting and corporate finance.
Exceptional financial acumen including strong analytical, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
Focused, organized, results-oriented individual.
Superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
Successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization.
Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling in Excel.
Solid PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
Experience with Hyperion HFM and Microsoft Business Intelligence a plus.
Travel approximately 10%.
