Day (United States of America) Job Summary The department of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) supports the prevention of transmission of infectious disease throughout the CHOP enterprise.
Observers work within IPC programs to monitor compliance of clinical staff and healthcare workers with appropriate Hand Hygiene and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) practices.
Job Responsibilities Must be able to perform assigned tasks while working under direct supervision.
Must also be able to work independently, work well with others, and be detail oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to do work which is varied and requires an intellectual and professional approach.
Requires a high degree of flexibility of skills and hours.
The ability to interact well with staff in a one-on-one setting is required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, some familiarity with Access preferred.
Job Responsibilities (Continued) Complete program observer training Observe hand hygiene and PPE compliance of CHOP staff on inpatient units and in procedure areas Provide just-in-time feedback to staff when breaches are observed Perform data entry of observations Participate in scheduled team meetings Other duties as assigned About Us We're seeking breakthrough makers! About the Job Responsible for providing general administrative and operational support in a department on a temporary basis.
Provides administrative support so that efficient and cost-effective utilization of hospital resources are met Assist with scheduling, taking minutes, communications, assessments, analysis, managing programs and meeting project deadlines Assist in editing, formatting, reproduction, and filing of program materials and data Assist with photocopying, scanning, managing calls, data entry, and data management Performs other related duties as assigned Education High School diploma required - Must be enrolled in a college program.
Science or Health Profession as a major preferred.
Must have previous customer service experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work in an organized manner, work well with others, with attention to detail.
Must have initiative and good problem solving skills.

In keeping with this, CHOP has mandated all workforce members on site at any CHOP location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19.
