Part-time 6 hours ago Full Job Description Duties As a/an Public Affairs Specialist, you will:
Coordinate all official aspects of Regional Office communication and media relations programs.
Function as the official means of informing the press, specific groups or the general public of HUD's activities and goals, as carried out in the (jurisdiction) Area; Ensure that the HUD (jurisdiction) Area provides responses to the public, the news, media and government officials in the RD's name that are professionally accurate, pertinent, tactful, and completely harmonious with established policies and purposes of the Department, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs and the RD; Work collaboratively across HUD to execute a modern social media program, drive engagement, audience growth and conversation across all HUD social channels; Coordinate a broad, integrated communications strategy including both the traditional Public Affairs function as well as the communications aspects of regional and local web activities in the field.
Requirements Conditions of Employment The official duty station for this position will be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized
Experience:
For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Planning, directing and executing media campaigns to convey information on Agency or Organization programs.
; AND Responding to information requests from news media and the general public pertaining to Agency or Organization's program.
; AND Direct special events and other activities intended to develop interest in Agency or Organization programs.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
