Business Intelligence Analyst II

Requires working knowledge of theories, principles and concepts and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices. Understands key business drivers and builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Under a moderate level of guidance, responsible for solving moderately complex problems following established policies and procedures. Participates in data driven insights into what and why it happened using descriptive data analysis, root cause analysis, data management tools, visualization and other tools and processes to develop, test, implement and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports and change recommendations. Assists in the identification of patterns and trends and to answer questions that are not obvious with ability to transform raw data into use and business trend insights. May use data handling tools. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a part of the HLRP (Health, Learning, Research & Practice) Business Intelligence team supporting our Learner's Digest International Business. A key customer will be the Marketing department but this role will also support stakeholder needs across a variety of functions including Product, Finance, and Sales. The role will have responsibility for all data needs including retention analysis, support for monthly financialreporting and working on marketing and finance special projects to data patterns that drive revenue and market trends. The Analyst will partner closely with marketing, finance, and IT to synthesize data from the fulfillment system and provide key recommendations to the business. The Business Intelligence Analyst will have strong systems knowledge and will work closely with the key stakeholders to focus on renewal sales and new customer prospecting. The Analyst will build segmentation and prospecting models designed to elicit the strongest customer responses - whether through traditional channels like Direct Mail or through non-traditional digitalchannels. Marketing Database and Reporting - Work with marketing department to assess, define, and develop report deliverables to meet their requirements. Support the design of appropriate data repository and reporting tools that will be used to organize, analyze, and report data. Query data bases to extract information needed to develop reports. Support the development of standard reports and deliverables. Customer Data Quality - Research and integrate data sources for target marketing purposes. Interpret, analyze and provide recommendations regarding data accuracy and data collection needs and processes. Work with IT and other relevant departments to identify opportunities to enhance existing and to develop new data information processes and tools. Marketing Analytics - Transform data into actionable insights using business intelligence and analytics tools. Perform hands on analysis of marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization and strategy. Develop predictive models to support effective targeting for customer acquisition and retention. Analyze the financial implications of marketing strategies and translate them into reporting requirements and forecasts Ad hoc project support as needed for various analysis and projects Participate and support staff training related to data collection, reporting, understanding of data and cross training as needed Other Duties Performs other duties as requested by Supervisor. Job Qualifications Education Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred Preferred:
B.S., in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research or Engineering Experience Minimum

Experience:
o 3 years of proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst o Technical expertise regarding data mining and segmentation techniques o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Excellent MS Office skills and advanced Excel capabilities o Ability to diagnose issues quickly and communicate effectively Tools:
SQL R or Python Data Visualization (Tableau or Power BI) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Preferred:
1 year of Data Science 1 year of Data Engineering Experience in a dynamic corporate environment, preferably with tiered reporting Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) Strong knowledge of Python Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME etc.) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
