Hill has participated in over 10,000 project assignments Hill is seeking a Construction Inspector in Texas with highway experience This position involves oversight of construction inspection to ensure roadways, brides, drainage and related structures, traffic control, and environmental requirements are built in accordance with plans and specifications. This position includes:
Consulting with Project Engineers, resident project representatives and ' superintendents on work progress and construction problems; reviews equipment utilization data and time/cost estimates Ensures adequate levels of equipment and materials are assigned to projects; ensures material tests are performed and materials meet required standards Drives to ensure build roadways, bridges and related highway structures and/or airport improvements in accordance with plans and specifications Documents work progress and issues arising throughout scope of project Performs other job responsibilities as assigned Reviews construction records, inspection reports and records audits to ensure build roadways, bridges and related structures in accordance with plans and specifications Mentors and develops technical employees in test and inspection procedures and material specifications Tracking work progress Developing Daily Work Reports (DWRs) in SiteManager Verifying all materials meet specifications and are performing as designed Performing material testing and inspection at various locations, including laboratory, field, plant, and stockpile, utilizing required methods and equipment. Performing measurement and documentation of quantities on appropriate forms and in accordance with specifications Leading the work of professional and technical employees in construction Qualifications 6
years of construction inspection experience on highways/roadways specifically TxDOT Understanding of governmental laws, rules and regulations specific to area of responsibility for safeguarding information and information technology related systems, inspection methods, procedures and techniques and testing methods, processes and procedures Reading and interpreting applicable plans, schematics, blueprints and maps Applicable plans, specifications and estimates preparation, review, processing and compliance requirements Methods for reviewing plans and specifications for compliance with requirements Construction engineering policies and procedures Basic traffic management and control procedures Must have received or be willing to receive the Covid-19 vaccination by date of hire. Medical or Religious exemptions will be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
