CrowdStrike seeks a strategic, results-driven, and well-connected public relations professional to join one technology's hottest brands and one of the fastest growing cloud companies. Reporting into CrowdStrike's Sr. Director, Corporate Communications, this senior role will be responsible for managing and contributing to a team that executes a high-impact communications strategy with media relations, executive visibility programs, brand messaging and content development, and thought leadership activity. The role is expected to be a senior partner to various CrowdStrike leadership teams, contributing to successful execution of company objectives and key Marketing areas of priority. The right candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in developing and executing communications strategy; media relations skills, and expertise in identifying and driving top-tier signature articles, executive visibility opportunities, thought leadership topics, bylined articles, and customer success stories. They will have proven success in effectively managing high-profile media opportunities with a bias for action, an ability to pivot quickly if needed, and good judgement in high-pressure situations and will be skilled in cross-cultural stakeholder management. The right candidate will bring forward expertise in translating nuanced, complex technical issues into broadly digestible content for media, C-level executives, and other stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to work with top tier, as well as tier two and three, and industry trade reporters and industry influencers, and contribute to one of the most notable PR programs in the technology space. Given the highly visible and critical nature of the role, candidates should also be comfortable in the spotlight, and should have a well earned reputation as both a trusted subject matter expert and champion of how their company can capitalize on new approaches. You will gain extensive experience in dealing with national, International, mainstream, broadcast, technology and security press on a variety of proactive and reactive topics. Essential Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Develop and manage strategic PR programs that drive awareness of CrowdStrike's core businesses, including security expertise, thought leadership, and more Deliver strategic communications counsel to internal executives on both short and long-term challenges and opportunities Build strong relationships with security trade media, mainstream, technology, business and influencers Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges Train and manage internal spokespeople at all levels for external facing communications, including press and speaking engagements Set, maintain and socialize media KPIs and results Help manage external PR agencies on strategy and day-to-day matters Collaborate with global PR teams on driving successful launches, press initiatives, a robust awards program and other awareness opportunities Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Minimum of 6-7 years of PR experience In-house/corporate experience required, with agency experience a plus and cybersecurity, technology, SaaS, and security PR experience preferred Current experience managing media relationships and a network of media contacts Experience writing and evolving clear messaging, content and plans Very strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of social media skills Highly capable and comfortable in large, high-growth, fast-paced organizations Equally adept at marshalling internal armies and personally executing campaigns to get stuff done Track-record of staying on top of industry trends including new platforms/media, what competitors are doing, and current and emerging influencers
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
