Summary:
The Senior Project Manager - Business Transformation will lead multiple complex, business-driven projects requiring collaboration across many corporate functions, including Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing and key subject matter resources. This is a highly visible role within the organization requiring someone with strong communication skills who has worked with executive teams in the past. Through hands-on leadership, the ideal candidate will champion project management fundamentals across the growing organization while managing the complete project life cycle with the goal of delivering projects on time, within scope and on budget. They will be more than a timekeeper or task master, building an understanding of the business, each function's needs and dependencies and influencing without direct authority. They will play a role in coaching project team members on key project management fundamentals, identifying risks and working through mitigation plans. Primary
Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end project management - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, control and close, and structure project requirements - e.g. scope, schedule, budget, resources. Structure projects to achieve successful and sustainable outcomes, understand processes in/out of scope. Conduct kick-off meetings with stakeholders and project teams to gain objective, project approach and high-level project plan alignment. Develop documented plan with comprehensive activity list and interdependencies, at an appropriate level of detail, expected deliverables, schedule and budget. Manage progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Quickly identify and clearly articulate variances, risks and opportunities, issues and recommendations with confidence to all levels of the organization. Manage project changes, analyze potential impacts, seek necessary approvals and communicate appropriately to all necessary stakeholders. Navigate and build credibility with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Build, motivate and coach project teams, and exercise initiative to step in when support is needed. Continuously manage expectations, understanding of roles and responsibilities. Quickly assess situations, recognize issues and discern root causes. Serve as single point of contact on project status and information. Facilitate meetings and document action items and follow-up. Present project information and decision points to stakeholders. Champion sustainable project management processes and project decisions, emphasizing long-term solutions over temporary workarounds. Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field required. 6-10 years of hands-on experience in structuring and executing complex corporate initiatives across multiple functions as a project manager. Business-to-business experience a plus. Expertise in applying formal project management methods and procedures for a program or multiple projects. Experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of an infrastructure transformation program a plus. Experience in change management methodologies. Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or related industry a plus. Experience using project management tools, diagram flow chart tools, collaboration tools. Experience working cross-functionally across multiple geographies and cultures a plus. Skills and
Qualifications:
Availability and willingness to work outside normal U.S. business hours. Proficiency in English language required; proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish or Chinese a plus. Prior consultant experience in similar capacity a plus Experience working with both internal and external partners. Expertise in a relevant domain such as end-to-end supply chain management a plus. Experience in value stream mapping or process mapping a plus. Project Management related certification, such as PMP/Agile/Lean a plus Experience with project and collaboration technology, such as SAP and Microsoft O365 and Teams. Demonstrated business skills and ability to effectively negotiate priorities across multiple functions. Able to operate in unstructured environments. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
