Underwriter, Environmental Storage Tanks

Expect to underwrite and support Chubb Environmental Storage Tank products, market presence and book of business through direct prospect and producer development, maintain service standards and assist in development of the company's strategic direction and growth in this product line.
Underwriting and support duties will be required across all Chubb's seven U.
S.
regions at both the desktop account level and for online accounts underwritten through the Tanksafe platform.

Travel is expected to meet with brokers and customers throughout the seven U.
S.
Chubb regions.

This position reports to a Vice President of Chubb Environmental Risk.

This role operates on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and must sit in our Philadelphia, PA office.

  • Implements product line underwriting objectives by review, evaluation, selection and pricing insurance program.
  • Generates new business revenues by developing prospects, visiting assigned producers, participating in direct presentations and negotiating programs and cross marketing within the Chubb organization
  • Provides primary communication and direction for all processing requirements including policy issuance instruction, endorsement requests, billing requirements and audit review
  • Maintains service standards by timely response to customers and broker requests and timely receipt of collateral and agreements in addition to meeting deadlines on submissions of quotations, certificates and/or policies
  • Manage new business, lost business, rate and exposure to achieve growth goals.
  • Coordinates as necessary with various departments, including Financial, Actuarial, Billing, CGRA and IT.
  • Coordinate and respond to broker requests related to Chubb's online Tanksafe system
  • Assist with Tanksafe system testing, maintenance and functionality

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
