Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner - Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a positive experience - Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with special needs or disabilities - Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle - Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, conducting routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and routes
Experience:
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial driving role - Familiarity with behavior management techniques, especially when working with children or individuals with special needs - Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, particularly if fluent in English and another language - Knowledge of paratransit services and requirements is beneficial Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact professionally with passengers - Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes - Physical stamina to sit for extended periods of time and assist passengers as needed Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
