Our Hospitality Practice is seeking a creative, innovative, licensed Architect with experience to lead and execute a broad range of projects through the design process, production of construction documents and construction administration as part of a project team.
The Architect or Senior Architect will also be responsible for developing solutions to technical problems.
Experience in Hospitality/Mixed-Use with a strong design portfolio is preferred.
This role will provide tremendous opportunities and involvement throughout the project design and implementation processes.
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead team with complex project designs, resolve drawing discrepancies and other technical opportunities.
Extensive understanding of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriatenessPrepare and oversee the preparation of concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
Prepare project specifications.
Develop and/or oversee the development of design concepts into complete design development set and further advance into complete construction drawings.
Oversee material research and compilation of project data and incorporation throughout the project.
Assist with the timely submittal of drawings to the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction.
Participate with the project team to understand/establish project goals and objectives including workplan, project schedules, budget parameters, while ensuring the highest product quality.
Attend construction meetings and make periodic site observation visits as required.
Review and understand applicable building codes and other standards.
Prepare zoning and building code analysis and review.
Sign and seal drawings as needed.
Endeavor to maintain the design and technical excellence of the Firm.
Participate in a fast-paced environment with the Design/Project team to establish planning and design concepts pertaining to a project and ensure adherence to these concepts throughout the architectural process from concept to construction.
Evolve and refine the design for a project, communicating the design direction to the project teamCoordination of the design and documentation process with external consultantsOrganize, direct and lead a project Construction Documentation teamOrganize and perform multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently
Qualifications:
Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.
Embrace specific steps to create, develop and promote a diverse workforce and to promote an inclusive environment.
Bachelor of Architecture (or Advanced Degree in Architecture) from an accredited institutionRegistered Architect licensed in the U.
S.
or in process (preferred)5 to 7 years of progressive experience in ArchitectureKnowledge of construction methods and systems appropriate to the firm's workExcellent technical and detailing skills, and advanced knowledge of building codesRevit advanced-user, BIM, SketchUp advanced user (Enscape a plus), AutoCAD proficient, plus Adobe Creative Suites, and other rendering softwareSuperior written and verbal presentation skillsPossess strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsProven ability to meet deadlines without compromising the design / technical intent or relationship with fellow team memberNational salary range for Registered Architect with 7
years experience (regional cost of living factors are considered into the hiring process):
$77,000 - $120,000, plus bonuses and benefits; contingent upon relevant experience.
