Our client, a well-known nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative and secretarial support. The Administrative Assistant's duties will include: typing, filing, scheduling, record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, managing and maintaining office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, and other projects as assigned. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of related experience. This position is contract to hire.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Typing and editing correspondence
Filing
Scheduling meetings and conferences
Coordinating travel arrangements
Creating reports and presentations
Scheduling performance review meetings and preparing necessary documentation
Managing and maintaining office supplies
Assures accuracy and distribution of employee schedules
Initiates, records, reconciles discrepancies with, and processes expense payments and reimbursements
Produce general correspondence, memos, work schedules, and reports
Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

2-4 years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Professional demeanor
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to prioritize daily activities and anticipate unexpected increases in workload
Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
