Position Overview
As a Junior System Administrator, you will be a part of LeapFrog's IT team, providing daily support within a wide range of technical issues. This individual will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructures. Other duties may include programming, project management for systems-related projects, troubleshooting/creative problem solving, and being the consultant for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills, along with the ability to work well in team settings are key factors for the successful candidate.
The Junior System Administrator reports to the Director of Global Infrastructure in LeapFrog's IT group. The qualified candidate must meet or exceed the qualifications outlined below and must be able to perform the tasks to which the job entails.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform day to day support on Microsoft active directory including account creation, termination and changes
Create, delete mailbox on Microsoft Exchange servers Manage Exchange environment and be able to troubleshoot issues.
Troubleshoots and resolve servers issues when necessary
Proactive monitoring of all servers, applications and services
Install, configure and maintain server hardware and software for multiple offices/locations
Deploy OS, hardware and application patches on servers
Provide Tier 3 Support for the IT Helpdesk as an escalation path
Education & Experience
Must have in basic knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
Must have experience building a server from scratch, including hardware installation and OS installation.
Must have a good understanding of Active Directory and Windows Server knowledge
Must have the ability to manage file permissions on a windows server.
Must have basic experience in managing and deploying Virtual Server environments including Hyper V and ESX.
Have basic working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and GPO's.
Must have strong experience supporting Windows / Mac Desktops in a corporate environment.
Should have the ability to provide technical guidance to Helpdesk Technicians.
Must have a basic understanding of networking.
Knowledge of backups in an enterprise is a plus.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Should be able to manage a project from research to implementation

Good Team player with the ability to work well with others
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have 2
years' experience working in a Junior System Administrator role or the equivalent experience.
