Position Overview
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help design and develop UI on our next generation embedded Linux-based learning platforms using a variety of languages and frameworks, employing both standard and proprietary development tools.We are looking for a passionate, motivated individual, with up-to-date technical skills, who can lead design and implementation of cutting-edge embedded UI to support our new and existing products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key contributor to the software development on next-gen and existing platforms
Lead UI development, coordinating architecture, design and implementation with UI team
Responsible for major subsystems in UI, acting as point of contact for UI
Work with QA to ensure high quality software deliverable
Work with Content and Art departments integrating and developing designs
Work with Firmware Engineering to maximize performance and quality
Lead selection and qualification of third party library and tools as needed for product development
Supportand maintenance of existing products
Education & Experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Years engineering work experience
Expert technical understanding of C/C++
Strong knowledge of at least one major embedded UI framework
Experience developing projects on resource-constrained embedded systems
Training in Usability a plus
Experience with Android, IOS, Qt a plus
Other desirable skills: Version control, Cross platform, knowledge of Linux
Excellent writtenand oral communication skills
