Position Overview
This is an opportunity to drive LeapFrog forward in its evolving global testing strategies. We are looking for an experienced Senior SQAEngineer to work with our group of onsite SQE Engineers and offshore SQA team. Responsibilities include testing and test automation coding efforts for LeapFrog's handheld gaming devices and next generation tablet platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and maintains test automation tools and scripts
Assumes ownership of all phases, including design, implementation, execution, maintenance, and expansion of test tools and framework
Executing firmware system tests and documentation
Evaluating, testing, and reviewing firmware to determine if program performance meets design requirements, provides valid and accurate results, operates reliably, and conforms to established standards
Provides technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members
Writes and updates test plans and test cases ensuring total quality coverage of firmware
Communicates effectively and in a timely manner to stakeholders, especially during release testing cycle
Education & Experience
BS in CS, EE, Mathor equivalent work experience
Proficiency in programming in C++, C#, Lua, shell

years in quality assurance roles
5
years testing Firmware or embedded systems
Previous experience testing handheld gaming devices, tablets, or other consumer devices based on embedded Linux
Has extensive experience architecting and implementing test tools and automation
Extensive experience with Linux kernel, drivers, and APIs
Working knowledge of SQA/SQE methodology
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and desire for quality
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must possess ability to manage multiple priorities in time-sensitive situations and ambiguous requirements
Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter who assumes ownership of areas of responsibility
Demonstrable ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
