Trial Attorney, Insurance Defense and Litigation
The candidate will represent customers of the company in bodily injury (BI), property damage, no-fault/PIP, special investigations (SIU), arbitration and subrogation cases. Will acquire broad knowledge of the company and business lines as well as assert processes, procedures and best practices. Manage a caseload from end to end by acquiring, compiling and integrating case-related information and legal research, developing and implementing litigation strategies in cooperation with clients and claims personnel. Determine litigation tactics and negotiate cases for timely claims resolution. Assess liability and damages and develop defense to litigation. Attend hearings and conduct trials; argue motions, take effective depositions of witnesses; and consult with clients, opposing counsel and judiciary, etc. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and claims. Conduct depositions of lay and expert witnesses, attend hearings, mediation, and trials. Coordinate case handling with claims personnel. Complete necessary case management system documentation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
