Senior Counsel III - Enforcement
The candidate will provide legal advice to company's lines of business, as well to the Compliance, Ethics and Audit Departments, in the context of regulatory examinations and other informal inquiries. May be assigned particular business areas as primary areas of focus. Will manage and handle complex government enforcement investigations and proceedings brought by federal, state and local agencies and regulators across all lines of business, including the retail and corporate banks, the asset management group, and the mortgage company. Manage sophisticated outside counsel and provide strategic advice to other in-house lawyers in connection with matters described above. Work with line of business-specific attorneys, business personnel, and Compliance and Audit personnel, direct remedial efforts designed to enhance operations in light of issues identified in connection with enforcement actions and examinations. Provide general advice to other attorneys in the Legal Department, as well as personnel in the Compliance Department and company's businesses, regarding matters related to civil and criminal enforcement proceedings and inquires. Support company's lines of business and Compliance and Audit personnel in connection with examinations conducted by the OCC, CFPB, SEC, FINRA, and DOL. Participate in the review and drafting of certain Compliance-related policies and procedures. Provide training to employees regarding various legal and regulatory risks.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
